Introduction

The Flaremap Development Kit Technical Reference is a reference guide for the technical configuration and use of Flaremap JS. Flaremap JS is pure JavaScript and compatible with any web serving platform. This document will introduce the major parts of the Flaremap JS by walking through the salesforce demo that is included with the Flaremap JS software download.

We'll present these parts in the following order:

Part 1: The File Structure

Part 2: The Core HTML

Part 3: The Configuration Parameters

Part 4: The Data

Part 5: The Mouseover Box

Part 6: Configuration Parameters in detail

Part 7: JavaScript Interface

Part 8: URL features – Live URL, URL Pre-filter, and URL filter

Once you are familiar with these parts, you should be able build your own treemaps with the aid of this documentation and the sample salesforce demo.

Nomenclature and characters used in the Guide: The use of curly braces {} denotes items that are to be replaced (including the curly braces). Replace the {item} with the appropriate value. The use of square brackets [] indicates optional items, those that are not required for the parameter value to work correctly. Any words not written in curly braces or square brackets should be used literally in the parameters.
